      Audi India appoints new Heads for Marketing and After-sales

      • Clemens Ollmert appointed as Head of Marketing, Audi India

      Mumbai: Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, today announced the appointment of Mr. Clemens Ollmert as Head of Marketing and Mr. Gerhard Pretorius as Head of After-sales. Commenting on the appointments, Mr. Benoit Tiers, Managing Director, Audi India said: “Audi India has witnessed strong growth since its inception in India. Our sales figures for the first quarter of this year have also been impressive. We are confident that these strategic appointments will not only enable us, but also lead us in achieving our goal of becoming the leading luxury automobile brand in the Indian market”.

      Mr. Clemens Ollmert, 38, takes over from Mr. Martin Birkner as Head of Marketing. He brings with him over 12 years of experience in specialized areas of Marketing and CRM. A business economics graduate from the University of Wuerzburg, Germany, Mr. Ollmert has an exceptional understanding of consumer markets across the globe through his various assignments with AUDI AG.

      Mr. Gerhard Pretorius, 43, brings to Audi India over 18 years of experience in areas such as After-sales and product planning. Mr. Pretorius takes over from Mr. Martin Freudenhagen and his expertise lies in managing after-sales and field operations. A mechanical engineering graduate, from the University of Pretoria, and adept at market research and analysis, he has an in depth understanding of consumer trends in global markets.

      Both Mr. Ollmert and Mr. Pretorius have previously been in management roles with AUDI AG.

      Audi India is structured in five main departments: Marketing (Head: Clemens Ollmert), Sales (Head: Anil Reddi), After Sales (Head: Gerhard Pretorius), Dealer Network (Head: Rishi Goel) and Press Communication (Head: Metabelle Lobo) directly reporting to the Managing Director Mr. Benoit Tiers.

      The Audi model range in India includes the Audi A4, the Audi A6, the Audi A8, the Audi Q5, the Audi Q7, the Audi TT and the super sports car Audi R8. The entire Audi model range is available at eight showrooms across the country: in Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Delhi, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Kochi. 2010 will witness the opening of new showrooms in Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai (West), Jaipur, Chennai, Ludhiana. Further developments include Lucknow, Coimbatore and Nagpur.
