German luxury car maker Audi is all set to roll-out a longer wheelbase version of its popular luxury sedan A8 – Audi A8 L – in the Indian market. The car will be launched in the Indian market with a starting price tag of Rs 89 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The car will be competing with the likes of BMW 7 Series in the country.
Sporting a massive 4163cc, 4.2 FSI V8 petrol engine, the super luxury A8L is capable of out-pouring a peak power of 372 hp with a top torque of 445Nm at 3,500 rpm. Moreover, the power packed engine of Audi A8 L comes incorporated with a highly sophisticated 8-speed tip-tronic automated transmission along with an advanced quattro permanent all wheel drive.
Carrying class-leading performance characteristics, the A8 L takes just 5.8 seconds to break the speed barrier of 100 km/hr.
Moreover, the German luxury comes featured with a range of new age multimedia features that comprises of the Bang & Olufsen sound system, a high-tech Multi Media Information system with a touchpad, button for controlling the level of airflow from the A/C vents and exact temperature.
On the safety front, the car comes powered by a range of active and safety features that comprises of ABS with EBD, ESP, multiple airbags, Audi press sense basic safety system, and many more.
