      Honda Amaze has been quite successful in the Indian market, especially among sedan lovers. The car has been able to grab the attention of fans and customers, alike. However, one common confusion that the first-time car buyer always faces is whether to go for the petrol variant or for the diesel. Here is a look at the distinguishing features of the petrol and diesel variant of Honda Amaze.

      The first thing that one notices about the diesel model is its price, which is tagged at 8.2 lakhs INR. It is powered by a1498 cc 16V i-DTEC mill, which is capable of generating 98.6 bhp power at the rate of 3600 rpm. The torque output of the car is 200 Nm at the rate of 1750 rpm. MPFI fuel supply system makes sure that the flow of fuel to the engine is uniform. With a DOHC valve configuration this car is almost perfect on the mechanistic front. Turbo charger has been provided on the diesel model. Its top speed is 134 kilometres per hour. With a fuel tank capacity of 35 litres, the diesel variant returns 21 kilometres for a litre inside the city while it gives 25.8 kilometres for a litre on highways.

      On the other hand, the petrol variant is slightly lower priced at 7.6 lakhs INR. The model is powered by a 1198 cc 16V i-VTEC petrol engine, which churns out 86.7 bhp power at the rate of 6000 rpm. The net torque output for the car is 109 Nm at the rate of 4500 rpm. The car has been provided with a SOHC valve configuration system and has not been provided with a turbo charger. The petrol model also has a fuel tank capacity of 35 litres. However, the mileage is slightly low. On highways, the car returns 15.5 kilometres for a litre, while on city roads, it gives a maximum of 13.3 kilometres.
