Mahindra has evolved gracefully into a space-age automobile manufacturer from a brand that strongly emphasised on producing utilitarian vehicles. The recently introduced XUV700 hints at the carmaker's future direction in terms of making ultramodern SUVs featuring high-tech equipment such as the newest AdrenoX connected car system - a brainchild of Bosch and Mahindra. Let us find out more about this extraordinary setup.

      Infotainment System

A modern infotainment system does not just stream music or show satellite-based maps but also protects the car and its passengers. The AdrenoX comes with a host of cutting-edge features including an advanced driver assistance system. An on-board computer governs various car systems as well as a few mechanicals. To put it simply, if the driver fails to notice an object such as a pedestrian or vehicle, to avoid accidents the car itself takes over the control and applies brakes.

This system can also detect and warn the driver if they start drifting off while driving and Mahindra calls it driver drowsiness direction. Another safety feature is the adaptive cruise control that monitors the speed of other cars, especially the ones in front of the XUV700 and adjusts the speed accordingly. Furthermore, the AdrenoX is capable of recognising road signs such as speed limits, and finding out whether it matches the speed of the car. If that does not match, the car itself slows down at the designated speed.

      Infotainment System

On the other hand, the AdrenoX is a connected car machine that can perform everyday tasks, such as navigation, music streaming and wireless smartphone connectivity. The AdrenoX also supports Alexa voice recognition which can execute a wide range of commands to operate different in-car features. Interestingly, a feature named Journey Planner helps you plan a journey via an app that also lets you add pit stops. It also works with engine start/stop and cabin temperature control systems to provide pre-cabin heating or cooling. Meanwhile, the AdrenoX is paired with a 12-speaker, 445-watt Sony sound system.

The infotainment system also shows weather, horoscope, news, popular places around your location and even journey recommendations via assigned content partners. For added safety of the XUV700, the AndenoX gets Geo fencing and valet mode too.

Mahindra and Bosch have also developed a smartphone and smartwatch app compatible with the in-car AdrenoX system. The AdrenoX Connect app will enable remote connectivity via an app that includes emergency assistance functions such as SOS.
