The new Suzuki Swift has been showcased at the 2017 Frankfurt Auto Show and is our biggest hint at what to expect when the car comes to India in early 2018. This is the biggest generational change for the Swift since it was launched in this avatar in 2004.
We will get a car with the same exterior design which in this case is an evolutionary one. You can see the shape that has defined the Swift hatchback in the modern age, but with a completely new face, wheels and rear-end. In these three, you can see that the face is quite similar to what we have on the latest generation Dzire compact sedan.
Step inside and its standard Suzuki fare with the usual bits and pieces like the switches, instrument cluster and even the touchscreen system being shared with other models. We, in India, are expected to get the same interiors for the Swift, but sans the faux wood inserts and two-tone beige and white trim.
Given how successful the current car has been since it was introduced in 2012, it will come as no surprise if this car picks up where the old one left off. We believe that Maruti Suzuki will showcase the new Swift at Delhi 2018 as the highlight of its stall.
