The International Automobile Federation, or in actual words, Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, recently approved the next season’s Formula 1 Racing calendar with a record 21 races spread throughout the year. The first Grand Prix in Baku was able to bag a July date.

There have been a lot of significant transitions and changes made to the calendar. This has been possible by shifting the races in one country to a totally opposite date as they were earlier on. Racing in Russia has been shifted from October to April, and Malaysia from March to September. This has been done on the organiser’s request.

The World Motor Sports Council had a meeting in Mexico for rubber-stamping the latest start for the event, which has been given to Australia for a long time now. The first race will be hosted by the Australian organisers on April 3, followed by the next race in China on April 10.

On a bright note, Germany has returned to the listing after the cancellation of this year’s event to be held in Nurburgring, which couldn’t happen due to the deal not being able to reach the promoters. Though the venue hasn’t yet been decided for the 2016 Germany event, but the country did get a sigh of relief, being a major hub for automobiles throughout the world.

The July 17 event under the European Grand Prix in Baku will be a standalone event. Also, for the first time in many years, the British Grand Prix has moved forward two weeks to avoid a clash with the Wimbledon Tennis Championships. This had been happening for many years now, dividing the crowd.

The approved calendar of 2016 F1 events are as below:

      Australia – April 3
