American car manufacturing giant General Motors showed a teaser image of the new Chevrolet Beat, which is sold in a large number of international markets as Beat. In comparison to the current model, the new Beat will bear a more aggressive, stylish and modern design.
Next-generation Chevrolet Beat is inspired from Opel Karl and Vauxhall Vivo models, which were showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. As far as the creases on the side are concerned, the new Chevrolet Beat is similar to Opel Karl. The handles of the new model are in close proximity to the C-Pillar, which is not same as the hatchback from Opel.
This hatchback is going to be powered by a 1.0-litre Ecotec petrol engine, which will generate 74 BHP of power. The model set to be launched in India is expected to feature a 1.2-litre petrol engine and 1.0-litre diesel engine. The new Chevrolet Beat is going to be introduced in India on April 2, 2015, and will then make way to automobile shows in Seoul and New York. Reports claim that though the car will be unveiled in India in April, it might take a while before it enters showrooms.
