      2015 Land Rover Defender to be assembled at Tata Motors plant in Pune

      Land Rover, the British auto maker owned by the Tata Motors, has made a striking announcement that the company will be launching the next generation Land Rover Defender from Tata Motors Indian plant located in Pune. This move is directed towards offsetting the growing competition arousing especially from China and Asia- Pacific region also making it possible for the company to keep rising costs at bay.

      The off road utility vehicle has become the most iconic vehicle manufactured by Land Rover and is witnessing a steep rise in its demand both in UAE and Asian countries. The next generation Defender is planned to be assembled in India at Pune, considering the fact that it is economically viable for the company to cater to the growing demands of the nearby target markets.

      The 2015 Land Rover Defender will be furnished with cutting edge interiors integrated with more sportive grille and brand new head lamps. It is said to be built on the T5 ladder chassis similar to the one used in Range Rover Sport and Land Rover 4 Discovery. The company may send some of the Land Rover Defenders for the purpose of final touches to Europe.
