Hyundai India will launch the much-awaited Verna facelift in the country tomorrow. Dealers have already started taking bookings for the sedan at a token amount of Rs. 10,000. The new model gets exterior and mechanical updates.
The 2015 Hyundai Verna facelift gets new front fascia with a new grille, flanked by restyled headlamps that accommodate projectors. Other additions include newly styled fog lamps with LED strips surrounding them. At the back, the updated sedan has new tail lamps with integrated LEDs, while the bumper gets new integrated reflectors. Interior changes, however, are very minimal, it features new touchscreen infotainment system. The audio player gets the 1GB onboard memory to store music. It also gets reach adjust function ‘Ergo Lever’ for the steering wheel that is positioned on the inside edge of the front passenger seat. The rear occupants get revised armrest with twin cup holders and a seat with a longer base.
The 2015 Hyundai Verna facelift will also get tweaked suspension , which will allow the sedan to drive on uneven roads in a better way. With the suspensions getting stiffer, the steering feel too has also improved and it feels slightly heavier than the previous model. The updated model will continue to be offered in both petrol and diesel fuel options. The petrol engines are - 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre, the oil burners are the 1.4L CRDi and 1.6-litre CRDi units. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission and four-speed automatic transmissions.
