Audi India that recently rolled out the new RS7 Sportback in the country, will now bring in the 2015 RS6 Avant estate on June 4, 2015. The RS6 Avant, the performance version of the A6, will be Audi’s first estate in the country.
Powering the vehicle will be the same 4.0-litre, 32V V8 TFSI bi-turbo engine that also does duty on the RS7 Sportback. This engine delivers a maximum power of 560bhp at 5700rpm – 6600rpm, while yielding a torque of 700Nm at 1750rpm – 5500rpm. Transmitting power to all-four wheels will be an 8-speed tiptronic transmission. The Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system enables the car to achieve 100kmph from standstill in 3.9 seconds, which is equal to the RS7 acceleration time.
Unlike its Sportback sibling, the RS6 Anvant will offer optional top speeds - 250kmpl, 280kmpl and 305kmpl. On the exterior, the station wagon will feature adaptive LEDs or Matrix lights, new LED DRLs, single-piece grille and new taillight, similar to the A6 and S6 facelifts. While the 20-inches alloy wheels come as standard feature, the 21-inches alloys will be offered as optional fitments.
An RS adaptive air suspension with dynamic ride control and lowered ride height will also be on offer. Inside the cabin, the car will get black leather upholstery with red and silver underlines. Being India’s first and only performance-oriented Estate, the 2015 Audi RS6 Anvant won’t have any direct competition.
