Škoda has introduced the first 2010 Superb Estate version on 9 November at its Kvasiny plant in the Czech Republic. The first model to roll out was the Superb Elegance 2.0 TDI CR 170bhp DSG DPF in Satin Grey. The company will limit its first production to left-hand drive vehicles. Production of right hand drive vehicles will begin in January 2010.

The Superb Estate is offered in a choice of three petrol and three diesel engines, plus manual and DSG transmissions. The engine that powers the Estate version is same as the one present in the hatchback model introduced in September 2008.

Keyless entry, a revised version of the hatchback’s Park Assist system, ignition system and an electronically operated boot opening along with panoramic sunroof are some of the optional features available in the new Estate model. It is also more versatile with a range of handy touches, like baggage hooks and load separators. There is huge cargo space of 1865 liters after offering bigger passenger space and more legroom to the rear passengers. The car goes on sale in the UK in February 2010 with prices to start at £17,000 or Rs. 12.92 lakh.
