Model launch date:

The Citroen Basalt will be launched in H2 2024.

Feature List:

Exterior:

The exterior highlights include a family face with split projector headlamps, silver front and rear skid plates, cladding on wheel arches, black alloy wheels, and a coupe-type body style.

Interior:

As for the interior, Citroen has not released any information. However, we expect that it will benefit from a more extensive feature list. It will likely get a larger infotainment screen, bigger digital instrument cluster, climate control, keyless entry, leatherette seat upholstery, and a new interior theme.

Engine, performance, and specifications:

When launched, the Basalt will most likely be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with an output of 109bhp and 190Nm of torque. It will be offered with manual and automatic gearboxes.

Variants

The Basalt will most likely be offered in You, Plus, and Max variants.

Safety:

The Citroen Basalt has not been crash-tested by any NCAP yet.

Competition:

The Citroen Basalt will rival the upcoming Tata Curvv and other mid-size SUVs, including the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, and the Skoda Kushaq.
