      World Superbike Championship to be held in India for the first time in year 2013

      The coming year is going to be a much adventurous year for the motor sport enthusiasts in the country, as India will be hosting the World Superbike Championshipfor the first time. The mega superbike event will be organized at the Buddh International Circuit in the month of March, 2013. The deal was signed by Jaypee Sports International (JPSI) with Infront Motor Sports to host the event in the country.

      According to Mr. Maurizio Flammini, Chairman of Infront Motor Sports, said, “After meeting the promoters of Jaypee Group last year, I got the feeling that I was dealing with highly professional and powerful corporate house which will guarantee the organization of a successful race in India. We are sure that the FIM Superbike World Championship will bring added value to BIC, as well as to India and vice versa.”

      After signing the agreement, Mr. Sameer Gaur, MD & CEO at Jaypee Sports International, said, “We are extremely happy to announce that besides holding the Formula 1 and FIA GT1 motor racing series, we will also hold a thrilling motorcycle race, World Superbike Championship, at BIC early next year.”
