While Volkswagen Europe is all set to mark the worldwide premiere of its top selling and all new Golf hatch MK7 scheduled at the upcoming Paris Motor Show, its Brazilian subsidiary has rolled out brand new styled Gol range. Inspired by the word ‘goal’, the Gol range will comprise of upgraded models, Gol hatchback and Gol Voyage sedan.

Volkswagen Gol line-up has been the most successful models in the South American market and the launch of these redesigned models is anticipated to capture greater chunk of the market.

On the performance front, the Gol range is offered with a new bi-fuel 1.0L engine churning out a peak power of 72 hp when run on petrol fuel and catapults up to 76 hp when run on ethanol. With accelerated speed, the car can reach up to 62 mph from a standstill in 12.9 seconds to attain a top speed of 103 mph.

The Gol range facelift embodies the Volkswagen’s global design aesthetics of bumper, grille and headlamps as witnessed in Polo, Passat and Jetta. Especially for the hatchback rendition, the automaker has fabricated new tail lamps and a retouched tail gate.

The South America bound model has restricted the amount of amendments to minor cosmetic changes on the interior front. Improved lighting system and an edgy and trim decor enhances the sportive and elegance appeal on the interiors. With ramped up control mechanism and ergonomics, the Gol hatchback and Voyage sedan includes upgraded features in the car’s equipment.
