Volkswagen India has inaugurated its IT Regional Competency Centre(RCC) in Pune’s Hinjewadi locality with a view to source IT solutions for global operations of all Volkswagen brands. Speaking more on the occasion, Mahesh Kodumudi, Volkswagen Group India’s Chief Representative, said, “With the RCC, Volkswagen Group India has taken the next step in expanding its operations in India. We already have the expertise in building cars for the world. We will now also provide IT support to global locations through our centre and underline our belief in India with this long term commitment.”
The new IT Regional Competency Centre(RCC) in Pune is indeed the first one in India and third in worldwide Volkswagen group with the other two being in North America and Europe. The new Indian set-up shall act as a support for Volkswagen group across regions and brands. Currently, over 100 IT professionals have been hired at Volkswagen’s IT RCC in Pune, and plan to grow stronger over time.
Apart from Project Management and Support Services to various regions, companies and brands under Volkswagen, the IT Regional Competency Centre(RCC) in Pune shall also provide complete 24x7 Support for application services and project rollouts across the globe. The professionals hired are IT experts in field of SAP, Microsoft, Java, .NET, BI, BO, Big Data and Mobility Solutions.
