      Upcoming Cars in India: Four New Cars in January 2015

      Leaving the 2014 on high note, car manufacturers are gearing up to further enhance their market share by introducing several new products. At least four all-new products are ready to hit the Indian car market this month. Here is a list of four important cars to be launched in the market this month:

      Nissan Datsun GO+ MPV

      Datsun Go+ MPV: Nissan India is all set to launch the second Datsun car- the Go+ MPV in the Indian car market on January 15. Bookings for the sub-compact MPV have already commenced at a token amount of Rs. 11,000, while the deliveries for the car will start from Jan 15. Based on the Go hatchback, the sub-4 metre Go+ MPV will be offered in petrol version only. It will be powered by a 1.2-litre engine that also powers the hatchback sibling. Power is transmitted to front wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.

      Expected Price: Rs 3.80 lakh - Rs 4 lakh

      Tata Bolt: The Tata Bolt hatchback is undoubtedly one of the most awaited cars in the country. It will be the second product to be launched under Tata’s new HORIZONEXT umbrella. It will go on sale in India on January 20, and the bookings for the car have already started at a token amount of Rs. 11,000. Sharing its design and components with Zest compact sedan, the Bolt hatchback will be offered in both petrol and diesel fuel options. While the petrol version gets the 1.2-litre REVOTRON engine, the oil burner is the Fiat’s sourced 1.3-litre multi-jet unit.

      Mercedes-Benz CLA sedan: Mercedes-Benz has registered an excellent growth in the growing luxury car market. It is now the second luxury car market to sell over 10,000 units in one year. In order to further improve its share in the highly competitive market, the German maker will launch the much-awaited CLA sedan in the country on January 22. Set to rival the Audi A3 sedan, the CLA Class will be offered in two engine options- 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol and 2.2-litre turbo diesel. Both engines will be coupled to 7-speed twin-clutch automatic gearbox.

      Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione: At the 2014 Delhi Motor Show, Fiat India announced that it will bring its performance brand- the Abarth in the Indian car market by the end of 2014. The company recently showcased the Abarth 595 Competizione at the 2014 Autocar Performance Show, and it is now expected that the vehicle would go on sale in January. However, the company hasn’t revealed the exact launch date. It is propelled by a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine that is good for 158bhp and 230Nm. A five-speed automated manual transmission with a Sport mode will come as standard.
