TVS Motors made a strong place for itself in the automatic scooter segment in India with the Wego scooter in India. The Scooty line from TVS has been around for decades and this time around the scooter has been launched with fresh upgrades and has been rechristened as the new ‘Scooty Zest 110’. TVS Scooty Zest has been launched in the country at an attractive price tag of about Rs 42,300 (ex-showroom Delhi). In terms of features the new TVS Scooty Zest gets features like LED taillight, textured floor board, twilight lamps, open glove compartment, back-lit odometer and stainless steel muffler guard.
The new Scooty Zest shares some resemblance to the previously existing Scooty Pep+ variant, as you venture deep into its unique qualities you shall come across new instrument console with white background and wedge shaped rear end with boomerang turn indicators. The new TVS Scooty Zest is powered by the existing line of 109.7 cc air-cooled engine that has been performing well with the recently launched Jupiter and Wego automatic scooters. The engine is capable of developing top power of 8 PS along with peak torque of 8.7 Nm and is capable of returning an impressive fuel efficiency of 62 kmpl. A CVT gearbox is mated to the engine.
The new TVS Scooty Zest, features a kerb weight of 97 kg for easy handling and the peppy engine is capable of attaining 0 to 60 kmph in just 11.1 seconds. Ride quality has been improved owing to front telescopic fork suspension and a single shock suspension at the rear. For complete control the scooter gets front drum brakes that measure 110 mm and rear drum brakes measure 130 mm. As far as dimensions are concerned, the scooter measures 1770 mm long, 660 mm wide, 1139 tall and has a wheelbase of 1250mm. Ride height stands at 760 mm. Fuel tank capacity of the new scooter is 5 litres and it also brags a storage compartment capacity of 19 litres. The new scooter gets reliable set of tubeless tyres for the front and back that measures 90/100-10 (front) and 90/90-10 (rear) respectively for a good grip. The scooter has gets attractive dual color theme to further add the fu element that the Scooty line from TVS has been known for.
