The country’s one of the leading two-wheeler makers – TVS Motor Company has launched their yet another mass segment bike Phoenix in the Indian market on Wednesday.
Powered by a 125cc engine, the TVS Phoenix model will be hitting the Indian roads by the end of this month. The launch of new 125cc bike in India will enable the company to compete more promptly with its rivals like Hero MotoCorp, Honda, Bajaj Auto, etc.
Speaking to the share holders at the company’s 20th Annual General meeting in Chennai, TVS Motor Company Chairman Venu Srinivasan said, "We had some issues in motorcycles (segment). We were competing with top players across (various) models. We will consolidate our position in next 15 months with several launches. We will have a new product every quarter."
In the segment of 125cc bikes, TVS has only one model available – TVS Flame. The bike receives a tough competition from the likes of Hero Splendour, Honda CB Shine and Bajaj Discover.
