In a breathtaking turn out, Soupi Abdulla, an Indian born 'delivery man' got himself a Lamborghini Gallardo in a raffle at a shopping mall in Abu Dhabi. 'Truth is stranger than fiction', the phrase fits the occasion perfectly for the 44-year old Abdulla, when he found himself to be the proud owner of the Lamborghini Gallardo, which was priced at $ 245,028 (or Rs. 1.37 crore).
Abdulla bought a $ 68 (or Rs. 3,786) raffle ticket at a local shopping mall and in a stupendous outcome won the raffle, wherein more than quarter million people tried their luck.
Prior to the miraculous turn of events, Abdulla owned an old scooter and probably would have never even dreamed of owning a Lamborghini. Abdulla squares his life by driving a Toyota delivery van and the new Lamborghini may not be his first choice to drive.
Abdulla has revealed his intentions to sell the newly-owned car and in-turn will surely receive a massive fortune. He will use the money to repay his mortgage and will construct a family home at his birthplace Kerala. The humble Toyota delivery van driver has also resolved plans of building destitute homes and helping the local mosque.
Seemingly indifferent to all the money in his hands, Abdulla has decided to continue living the way he did before the life changing event and has no plans to abandon his single bedroom apartment, wherein he currently lives with two brothers.
