      Toyota Kirloskar Motor introduces comprehensive relief measures for its employees

      As a part of the employee welfare and safety initiative, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced an array of health and safety measures for its employees. TKM claims to offer uninterrupted round-the-clock access and support to infected members and their families via the company’s medical hotline to connect to the larger network of specialist doctors and hospitals. The helpline also provides teleconsultation and periodic review of members under home quarantine.  Additionally, considering the need for psychological support and guidance to the members, there is also a helpline available for one-on-one counselling of members who seek support to ensure their psychological wellbeing.   

      TKM will facilitate ambulance services and help in providing easy access to treatment at hospitals via the hotline. For employees who are under home quarantine, a COVID-19 home care kit containing basic medicines, oximeter, thermometer, masks, sanitiser, etc. is provided. Moreover, it is believed that the company has collaborated with a medical service provider for treatment and conducting tests of COVID-19. The company has also been actively involved in arranging hospital beds and oxygen concentrators for the affected. 

      TKM’s insurance partner has arranged for comprehensive medical insurance for team members of up to Rs 11.5 lakh for the treatment of COVID-19 related ailments.  Furthermore, the company has started an in-house communication channel called ‘TKM-Suddhi’ to appraise the members on challenges due to the pandemic and help them take preventive measures to manage it.
