If those sounds from raving engines and open stretches are your fancy, then you indeed should apply online for the third Toyota Etios Motor Racing Season. Applications are open for drivers between the age group of 15 - 28 years and 28 & 29 years and above can be a part of this event.
Speaking more on the occassion Akitoshi Takemura, Senior Vice President- Toyota Planning & Strategy Group & Senior Managing Coordinator, Toyota Sales Group, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, "After two successful seasons of Etios Motor Racing in India, we are delighted to open the driver selection for the new season. We have seen some very good talent in the previous seasons and we are excited to get some fresh talent onboard this season. With an intention to initiate racing at a grass root level in India and by giving young motor sport talent a platform to nurture their talent, EMR has come a long way and we look forward to a brand new season in 2015."
To encourage participation of women drivers the organizer is offering 50% waiver on the registeration fees. Post online application, the driver selection procedure shall take place sometime in May via a Go Karting round. The test would be conducted in the presence of N Leelakrishnan, six-time INRC Motor Rally Champion and one time Formula 3 (India) champion. The final selection round shall be based in EMR car at Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore. Participants here shall be judged on the basis of varius parameters namely – Physical fitness, Driving skills, and consistency in lap timings.
