Toyota, the Japanese automaker, has recently announced that it will not launch any new product this year in India. However, the company will launch a series of new products in 2016. The company is expected to introduce the new-generation Innova MPV and Fortuner SUV, and Vios sedan at the 2016 Delhi Motor Show. Toyota is also working on the facelifted version of its best selling Corolla sedan, which has been spotted undisguised.
At the Geneva Motor Show, the company had presented a demo video to show its safety system. This video featured a Corolla with different bumpers and design, which was speculated to be the facelifted model. However, the spotted vehicle looks different from the car shown in the video.
The Corolla sedan, spotted, features an all-new bumper, but with less chrome treatment as compared to the outgoing model. There is a black strip upfront, which replaces the big chrome slat. The only chrome treatment visible is at the logo that extends till the end of the headlamps. The sedan gets a new dual grille and LED DRLs on both the sides of the lower fascia.
At the rear, the Corolla saloon gets a fixed spoiler, clearer tail-lamps and a deeper rear bumper that make it look more appealing than the current model. The majority of the changes are expected to be offered on the exteriors, while the interior is more likely to remain unchanged. However, the company might add new features to refresh it. The Japanese maker is also likely to add new safety features in the car.
