Toyota has launched the new Corolla Altis a while ago at an attractive price tag of about Rs. 11.99 Lakhs, whereas the diesel version is priced at about Rs 13.7 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new Corolla Altis is offered in five petrol trims– J(S), G, G-CVT, GL and VL (CVT) and four diesel trims- DJ, DJ(S), DG and DGL.
Apart from the dealer report that states petrol variant has a waiting period for about one and a half month,whereas the diesel version attracts about two months waiting. Moreover, it is interesting to see that automatic petrol variant has been attracting nearly about 60-70% of the total bookings. Dealers have stated , “Most customers are booking automatic model drive themselves and are looking for ease of driving, while the chauffeur-driven are going in for the manual models. The customers are quite well informed and they know all about the CVT gearbox and paddle shifts, and are liking the new looks too. We expect the demand to stay strong for a while.”
The newer version of Corolla Altis gets cyber carbon piano black instrument panel cluster, a new three spoke steering wheel with Bluetooth control, a newly designed optitrion meter with illumination and chrome inside door handles. An increased wheelbase by 100 mm offers a roomier cabin, offering ample leg space to the passengers sitting at the rear. A host of new comfort features have been bestowed on the new Corolla Altis including rain sensors, navigation(Provided with “New” 7.0 LCD Touch screen and voice command enabled Audio with USB, Bluetooth, Audio), segment first rear reclining seat, rear sunshade, rear reading lamp, rear power socket, driving position has also been improved. The car has been launched in the Indian market in interesting shades of White Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Mica Metallic, Grey Metallic, Blue Metallic, Champaign Mica Metallic, Super White II and Celestial Black.
