Toyota Motors recently faced the wrath of its customers worldwide along with the US Senate when its vehicles fell short of safety and quality expectations of the brand. Toyota is now testing its entire range of SUVs of Toyota and Lexus brands for safety and quality to ascertain that both are not compromised any where.
According to a recent report from Consumer Reports, large Lexus SUVs are susceptible to rolling over. The new tests are being conducted on Lexus SUV, RAV4, 4Runner and Highlander. Apart from the testing process, Toyota has also suspended production of the GX 460 for next 12 days in Japan. It has already suspended sales of the model last week. Consumer Reports has already placed the model in a rare “Don’t Buy” category. This large SUV is mainly sold in the American market along with Russia, Middle East and few other countries. It has yet not decided whether it will recall this model as well.
