Not just a car for the automaker, the Ciaz shows that Maruti is trying to run the big leagues. By stepping up the price of the car, along with a host of other features, the Ciaz will try to bite into the market share of a very good, stable and still in-demand Honda City. The Honda City has been an all-time favorite for the money-conscious consumer, who would prefer a sedan, but a one within the budget however. So, when Maruti did launch the Ciaz, it seems as though they had a winner. We shall see how this far-fetched dream of Maruti pits up against Honda’s City.

The City’s height and width are 1495mm and 1695mm respectively. Honda’s City is a wee bit taller than the Ciaz. Both the cars have a seating capacity of 5 passengers, which is just about common. The City offers a wheelbase of 1600mm, slightly lesser than Ciaz’s 2650mm.

The Ciaz gives you a maximum power of 91bhp with a torque of 130Nm at 1750 rounds per minute. While, the City will churn out a maximum power of 117bhp with a torque of 145Nm at 1750 rounds per minute. Ciaz, however, has an edge with a highway mileage of 19.12 kmpl over City’s 17.4 kmpl.

Important Features: The Ciaz is expected to come with projector headlamps, the standard electrically foldable wing mirrors along with integrated turn indicators, a keyless entry system, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, push-button start in specific variants and several other equipments and rear parking sensors and a touchscreen display in front. The Z and Z+ variants will only be the ones that will have Alloy wheels on their list. On the other hand, the Honda City has an option of Allow wheels only for the top-end variants, with an option of adding an electronic sunroof, which is only for the VX variant.

Other than these basic features, both cars offer the hands-free Bluetooth options, along with USB and Aux. The seats of these cars have been esthetically designed, with a very spacious leg space and boot space. Both of these cars offer an excellent option to the customers. Both of them are equally good, but the turning point in majority of their cases comes in the price category. Coming from Maruti, Ciaz has a price which is lesser than its counterpart.
