Tata Motors will launch its new LCV Tata Venture early next year. It showcased the model earlier this year at the Delhi Auto Expo 2010. The new Venture is being built on the same platform as Tata Ace and will have interiors similar to Tata Indica Vista. Tata Venture is slated to become the first low cost minivan laden with features like Parking assist, Wiper for rear windows, power windows, adjustable steering wheel and keyless entry. It will also have flexible seating arrangement capable of seating 5,7 or 8 people.
The Venture van comes with a 1.4-liter turbocharged diesel engine. It has been recently spotted testing near Pune. The Venture measures 3.9m in length, 1.5m in width and is 1.8m high. Two-tone beige interiors with roof-mounted blowers enhance the passenger-friendly cabin comfort.
The new Tata Venture is expected to be priced around Rs. 5 lakh and will be introduced by early 2011.
