The debut of the India’s cheapest car Tata Nano in the Bangladesh market postponed at the end moment on Saturday, as the sole distributor Nitol Motors was seeking a price cut-down from Tata Motors.

The car was due to launch in Dhaka on Saturday at a fair, where a number of car enthusiast were looking forward to take a glimpse of this popular small car. Due to high tax rates, the price of Tata Nano in the Bangladesh market has been kept to 599,000 taka ($7,900) as compared 141,000 rupees ($2,870) in the Indian market for the base model.

He added that "But we've deferred launch of Nano at the last moment as we're seeking a re-look at the price, which some say is too high."
