Tata Motors has recently rolled-up its sleeve in order to strengthen its market share in India. As per sources, the company has been working on Harrier based platform that would compete against Hyundai's recently launched popular newcomer Creta. The platform could also be used by the company to launch more sedans and utility vehicles.
Sources have further stated that the new SUV being based on a monocoque platform, the company is also alongside developing a new vehicle on Raptor platform based on inputs received from JLR. The other vehicles that would utilize the Harrier platform would be offered in high-end vehicle segment where it could be priced anywhere over Rs 9 Lakh.
More details on the upcoming Tata Motor SUV is not known for known, based on anticipation it is likely to be offered with a 1.5-Litre diesel engine that could be sourced from Fiat. More details about the vehicle shall be known in the coming days.
