Tata Motors has already started to accept the bookings for Zest sedan which is due to be launched soon. Tata reportedly has also been working on Bolt hatchback launch soon after. Tata Bolt is said be based on the Vista platform, but technologically the car has undergone a complete overhaul. The company has updated on its official web site that the 1.2 AMT petrol Revotron turbocharged variant of its upcoming hatchback Bolt will offer three switchable driving modes-City, Eco and Sports.
Tata Bolt shall be powered by 1.2 Litre MPFI Turbocharged petrol Revotron engine that generates about 83 bhp of power at 5000 rpm with 140 Nm of torque at 1750 - 3500 rpm. The power-train has been combined to F-tronic automated manual transmission. Moreover, the car is loaded with interesting features like ABS, EPAS, speed sensitive power steering and Active Return function. Bolt will also come incorporated with some of the segment first features including a five-inch infotainment system. Exquisitely designed by HARMAN, Bolt will get an infotainment and audio acoustics system, navigation and location based services system developed by MapMyIndia will also be embedded inside the cabin. Other vital features like wire technology for enhanced engine response, tweaked suspension works in symbioses with zero pivot subframe for improved and effortless ride.
Tata has bestowed its new design language philosophy, ‘DESIGNEXT’ on Bolt. In the front is Tata’s new signature style grille built in tandem with ‘Humanity Line’, seamlessly meeting into head lights. Similarity could be seen inside the cabin with Vista, though Tata has revivified comprehensively such as black and optional colour combination shade, redesigned steering wheels, silver trim inserts, restyled instrument cluster with integrated multi-information display, reworked A/C vent design among others.
