Renault, the French auto maker, seems set to introduce its first entry-level sedan, Scala, in the Indian auto industry, independently. Industry experts believe that the new offering from Renault is a re-badged version of Nissan Sunny, which will arrive at the Indian shores on September 7, 2012. Post launch, this new C-segment model will efficiently square off against the likes off Volkswagen Vento, Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Ford Fiesta, which are currently considered as the segment leaders.

Interestingly, most of the individuals are confused that what will be the difference between Sunny and Scala. The strategy seems to be pretty obvious as both the brands, Renault and Nissan, have formed a venture and in lieu of this, they are known to offer dwell in badge designed products. An identical model with different name and manufacturer will eventually drive in some decent volumes for the company and irrespective of the figures recorded by individual companies, they both end up with busy hands.

Coming back to the upcoming model, the French auto maker has worked on the interiors of Scala and has incorporated some minor tweaks in order to present the new model as a an upmarket product. The car is expected to target a higher class of buyers than that of Sunny. However, nothing can be exactly said on the matter, are the two models really different.

It is said that Scala shares several components from Nissan Sunny, but to mark a difference, everything has been designed using a refreshed process with a little French taste. The big sized head lamps of the new model delivers a smoked appearance, while its front grille and bumper are overhauled and somehow resemble to that of incorporated within the Pulse hatchback. The rear end of the car is said to be inspired from Skoda, including tail lights and chrome strips, which together makes its end appealing. As a part of standard accessory, it is believed that the new model will come with company fitted alloy wheels, adding to its overall looks.

The cosmetic changes made in the exteriors of Scala are quite basic and experts have been continuously saying that the Renault could have done a bit more to make the upcoming model significantly different from Nissan's iconic sedan.

The main USP of the 2012 Scala is its sheer amount of space at inner cabin, which makes it stand apart from Nissan Sunny. Featuring ample space for leg room in both the rows, Scala will surely leave the auto aficionados enthralled. The upcoming Renault Scala is believed to be a complete package of comforts and luxuries, based on the everyday practicality of customers.
