Shell Lubricants and Ducati to award one Lucky Indian with the Ducati Monster 795 in Lavasa on October 8, 2012

The Indian arm of Shell, the global market leader in lubricants, along with the Italian sports bike maker Ducati is set to award one lucky Indian with the 795 cc Ducati Monster, following the result of 'Unlock a Ducati' contest.

Earlier in March 2012, Shell and Ducati launched a unique and exciting campaign called 'Will your lucky key unlock a Ducati', exclusively for its customers of Shell Advance engine oil range. According to the promotional offer, the Indian customers of the company could take part in the contest by purchasing a pack of Shell Advance AX5 (900 ml or 1 litre). Further, one lucky customers was decided to be presented with the Ducati Monster 795, along with a bunch of other exciting gifts, such as assured cash reward and 12 other bikes.

Reportedly, the lucky short listed customers of Shell Advance lubricant range will be taken to the beautiful locales of Lavasa, the country's planned hill city. The winning candidate along with other short listed participants will be rewarded at a special ceremony, besides taking part in adventurous activities in the exquisite Lavasa on October 8, 2012.

Highlighting the company's overwhelming sales figures for the month of August 2012, Srinivas said, “We were ahead for a month, but we believe we can sustain this momentum when the export of the newly launched Discover 125cc starts soon.”

At present, Bajaj Auto markets three variants under the Discover namesake, comprising 100 cc, 125 cc and 150 cc models, in the Indian bike market. Evidently, the company sold around 35,000 units of the brand new 125 cc version of Discover and aspires to sell close to 45,000 and 50,000 units of the same model in October and November, respectively.
