Salman drives home in Audi Q7 as Bodyguard becomes a blockbuster hit

Salman Khan is one of the most versatile performers of the Indian film industry and enjoys a cult following. This Bollywood brat's latest release, Bodyguard, set new records and helped consolidate his position among the elites of the entertainment industry even further. The actor is certainly riding high on the box office collection of the movie, which has grossed more than Rs. 229 crores till now and is still going strong.

Audi, the world renowned luxury car maker, recognised Salman's new accomplishments by gifting him a brand new white-coloured Audi Q7, a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV). The actor and his heroine in Bodyguard, Kareena Kapoor, were seen in Audi Q7 and Audi ASL in many scenes in the movie.

Upon receiving the opulent gift, Salman Khan quipped, “I am happy and I thank them (Audi) for giving me this car. It is beautiful. We have used this car in the film and now they have given it to me in real life also…” He also joked, “I wish in every film we get a car so we don’t have to spend money on cars.”

The head of Audi India, Michael Perschke, handed over the keys of the vehicle to the Bollywood star on Dec 9, 2012 at an event in Mumbai. The actor's ex-girlfriend, Katrina Kaif, also drives a similar car manufactured by Audi.

Though a powerful set of wheels is on the wishlists of all celebrities, Salman shies away from them as he has been involved in many automobile accidents and pulled up by authorities for drunk driving and driving without a license. Ever since he was booked by the police, Salman has remained off the steering wheel, and the same may be the case with the new Audi Q7 he has been gifted.
