      Royal Enfield stands tall with 49 per cent sales growth in February

      Two-wheeler manufacturer Royal Enfield has posted an increase in total sales in the month of February. The Chennai-based producer recoded sales of 30240 units in the month of February as compared to 20343 units it managed to sell in the same period last year. This 49 per cent jump in sales indicates the kind of inroads made by the firm in the past few months. The quantum of the increase in domestic sales was the same, 49 per cent, as the firm sold 29,491 units in February, 2015, as compared to 19,840 units last year. Royal Enfield exported 749 units of motorcycles in February, 2015, an increase of 246 units from 2014.

      Royal Enfield will certainly be buoyed by this performance in the month of February, experts believe. The firm is working pro-actively on introducing new motorcycles, which will be powered by newly designed engines. At present, the company has 350 cc and 500 cc engines in its portfolio, which power its models. Now, reports claim that Royal Enfield is working on 400 cc and 600 cc engines that will be used in the new model. Royal Enfield is really pushing the envelope in the domestic market and these statistics will certainly help them.
