Audi that announced to introduce 60 different models by 2020, has already started working on several of them. One of those models will be the all-new Audi Q1 compact SUV that will make its global debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March. The company says that the Audi Q1 will create its own niche below Audi India’s entry-level sedan – the A3.

      Audi Q1 Interior Rendered

Seen here are the rendered images of the Audi Q1, which are based on the spyshots of the camouflaged test mule of the compact SUV. Designed on the Volkswagen’s MQB architecture, the Q1 will available with two engine options - a 1.0-litre petrol and a 1.6-litre TDI diesel. The petrol version of the compact SUV might come with a 1.4-litre TFSI and a 1.8 TFSI engine. Initially, the Q1 will be offered with a FWD (front-wheel drive) system, while Audi’s Quattro AWD (all-wheel drive) technology will be equipped only on the top-end variant. Transmission options on offer could be a 6-speed manual (standard), and Volkswagen’s 10-speed that is reportedly under development.

The Q1 will take its design inspiration from the new Q7 and new Q3 facelift. Its front fascia gets Audi’s signature six-point Singleframe grille and edgy headlight cluster with optional LED elements, as seen on the Q7. According to reports, the car will get minimal overhangs, and a raised ride height. Inside, this compact SUV might feature a Virtual Cockpit with integrated instrument cluster, vehicle settings, satellite navigation system, etc.
