The Renault Scala will come with several add-ons that will give it an upper hand over the Sunny. The new car  will be launched in both petrol and diesel variants, which is a norm being followed in the Indian auto market these days. Renault Scala XH2, the petrol variant, will have 1498 cc at its disposal with maximum power of 97.64 bhp and peak torque of 134 Nm. On the other hand, the K9K diesel variant with 1461 cc at its disposal is built to deliver maximum power of 84.82 bhp and 200 Nm torque. Both diesel and petrol powertrains will come mated with 5 speed manual transmission.

The five-seater Renault Scala has an overall length of 4425 mm and width of 1695 mm. With its impressive wheelbase of 2600 mm, Renault Scala provides ample legroom to its passengers. It also has a massive boot space of 490 litres and an improved ground clearance of 161 mm.

On its exteriors, the rear of the Scala gets a chrome strip with its name inscribed on it, which is inspired from the Renault Duster. There are several advanced features like leather seats, keyless entry and start, and rear AC vents. The car maker has also ensured the best-in-class safety in the new car with features like Anti-Lock Braking System, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, and superior Mcpherson strut-type suspension in the front and torsion bar in the rear.

Renault has always priced its re-badged versions of Nissan models higher than the original model. However, it is expected that the new car will be an exception, which will give it an advantage over the highly successful model of Nissan. Though, Renault will keep up with the tradition in the top-end model of Scala, which will be pricier than that of Sunny.
