The company’s entry-level model Kwid, has been a major contributor to the brand’s success in India. Supporting claims, of the total 11,837 units sold in June, 9,459 units were from Kwid alone. The entry-level hatchback has also done well in month of May with 5,600 units sold. Renault Kwid being a popular seller, the hatchback never attracted any special offers, yet has found many takers in the country. Moreover, in less than a year, Renault reportedly sold about 1.5-lakh Kwid units.

Renault sells seven models in India - the Kwid, Duster, Lodgy, Scala, Pulse, Fluence and the premium SUV Koleos in India. However, among the list, only the Kwid and Duster have been popular choices in their respective segment. Along with a lucrative price tag, the Kwid also offers impressive features like touch screen infotainment system on the top-end variant. Moreover, impressive fuel efficiency figures and a bold SUV stance from an entry-level vehicle have helped Renault to offer a complete package deal for a large chunk of price conscious Indian buyers.
