Renault Fluence, the popular premium sedan manufactured by French car maker Renault, is all set to hit the Indian market next month. The car will be launched in the price bracket of Rs 11 to 13 lakh where it will be competing with the likes of Chevrolet Cruze, Toyota Corolla Altis, Honda Civic, Skoda Laura, etc.
The Renault Fluence model will the first premium sedan in the Renault’s India portfolio, as currently the company is not selling any car in the Indian market.
As per the industry reports, the car will be launched in both petrol and diesel versions. The petrol version of the car is expected to come powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder engine which is capable of generating a peak power of 140 bhp. On the other hand, the diesel version of the car will be launched with a 1.5L diesel engine that is capable of delivering a peak power of 105bhp, it being the same engine which is doing duties in Mahindra’s Logan sedan.
The Fluence model will be manufactured at the company’s Chennai facility. After the launch of Fluence, the next model will be company’s Koleos that will be launched in the country in the last quarter of year 2011.
