Bajaj has recently launched the Discover 150 officially; however, an interesting revelation by the popular two-wheeler manufacturer has left everyone a tad surprised. Bajaj has decided to call it curtains on the successful Pulsar 135 LS sometime in the near future. The exact date has not been revealed, but it is almost certain now that sooner or later, the company will stop producing this model. Though, the release of Pulsar 135 was equally astonishing as it was not expected that Bajaj would go down below 150 cc. However, such was the performance of this bike that the critics were soon silenced. Though, it came out at a time when most of it fans were looking for higher Pulsar models, the sheer performance of this model lived up to the standards set by its other variants.

The bike is capable of producing a maximum power of 13.56 PS and has a maximum torque of 11.4 Nm. Weighing at a mere 121 kg; the bike could hit 60 kmph in an astonishing 5.1 seconds, which is better than Pulsar 150. One of the major reasons for this is the better power to weight ratio, which gets a bit destabilised in other models of Bajaj. Additionally, this factor became of the key selling points of this model, which slowly emerged as the most economical Pulsar.

This question might arise in the mind of thousands that if this model is among the best-selling bikes and also the most economical, why the company has hit upon this strange decision. The most important reason behind this is the success of the Bajaj Discover. The sales of Pulsar 135 LS have dropped sharply because of the rise of the higher performing Discovers. The power to weight ratio of these models, especially the recently launched Discover 150Sis almost identical to the Pulsar 135LS with a better power output. On the other hand, the price of this Discover model is slightly cheaper as compared to the Pulsar 135LS. Strangely, the Discover 150S has also some high-end specs that sets it ahead of the Pulsar 135LS. Strangely, if there had been a situation that some other rival model is eating away into its popularity, it was still acceptable, However, in such a scenario, when two models of the same company are pitted against each other and in the end, one suffers a drastic setback as far as getting of the market, there is some serious issue in the planning team.
