Porsche India has launched the Boxter GTS and Cayman GTS in our market. GTS refers to Gran Turismo Sport, which reflects to its high performance. Both models come with up-rated engines and the Porsche Active Suspension Management.
Talking about styling, the GTS models get a distinctive front and slightly revised rear, blackened bi-xenon headlamps with Porsche Dynamic Light System, and blackened tail-lights. The Boxter GTS and Cayman GTS get the 3.4-litre units from the Boxster S and Cayman S. The 3.4-litre 6-cylinder boxer engine has been tuned to offer improved power and torque. While the Boxter GTS returns 330bhp of power, the Cyaman GTS delivers 340bhp of power. The power output is increased by 15bhp, while the torque has been increased by 10Nm.
The Boxter GTS accelerates to 100kmph from zero in mere 4.7 seconds before hitting a top speed of 270kmph. On the other hand, the Cayman GTS takes 4.6 seconds to cross 0-100kmph mark at a top speed of 283kmph. The new models are claimed to return a good mileage of about 12kmpl according to the new European Driving Cycle.
