      NNG and ANS collaborative efforts expected to bring in Scalable Navigation solution to OEM's in India

      India has always been one of the most potential market for the Automotive sector. Low cost cars have been a huge success in recent times. In near future, going by current trend that is supported by statistics, it is believed that low-cost vehicles sales shall rise by nearly 15 – 20%.

      Currently, top/high end cars have been enjoying with the latest gizmo and gadgetry like on-board navigation systems. But a company named NNG has reportedly worked out a strategy to introduce low-cost and ultra-low-cost software solutions in navigation system that can be used in budget cars as well. In the international market, NNG has been successful with the new strategy that has catered to about 30 global car brands.

      Péter Bolesza, Vice President of Emerging Markets at NNG said, “NNG’s vision is that navigation will be a standard, even in entry-level cars. We currently deliver localized software solutions for 168 countries across the globe that run on a single navigation engine. The response received from the Indian market has been tremendous and NNG looks forward to consistently developing innovative and cost-effective navigation solutions to ensure smooth, congestion-free commuting.”

      ANS services have been roped in to bring about a good amount of customer support and understanding of customers. Based on 2013 reports, NNG held about 26% market share in the OEM fitting, and 65% in the after-market segment. With the new developments and approach, the company intends on increasing the market share from the previous 26% to 40% and from 65% it intends on raising the bar to about 80% by the end of 2015.
