The new Mercedes CL-class is expected to be revealed at the upcoming Paris auto show in October this year. However, some members of Team Speed forum have already released pictures of this forth-coming two door model. These pictures look like official images that are expected to be revealed by Mercedes prior to the launch of the model. For 2011 the CL-63 AMG will swap its larger 525 horsepower, 6.2-liter V8 for a lighter, more powerful twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8, capable of 544 horsepower.
According to the reports from Inside Line, the car will carry forward as a CL model in 2011. “The CL coupe will get a revised hood, fenders, grille, bi-xenon headlights with LED turn signals and daytime running lights, LED taillights, bumper-integrated exhaust pipes and reverse lights relocated to the deck lid, as well as some technical updates,” reports Inside Line.
There have been rumours in Europe to re-badge the latest Mercedes CL class which has been vehemently denied by official spokesperson from Mercedes. “The 2011 coupe is "still CL," replied Mercedes-Benz of North America spokesman Robert Moran.
