Despite his love for a wide number of cars, genius billionaire Tony Stark, who is Iron Man, will be seen driving the next-generation Audi R8 in the next Avengers film titled Avengers: Age of Ultron. Like James Bond is loyal to his Aston Martin, Tony Stark will be loyal to the Audi in the upcoming film. Robert Downey Jr., who plays the role of Tony Stark, stars in the film alongside others like Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans and Samuel L. Jackson.
Other cars that will feature in this film that hits theatres in May include Audi 2015 TTS and 2015 A3 Cabriolet. Notably, the first time Tony Stark was seen driving an Audi R8 was in the first Iron Man film, which was released in 2008.
Loren Angelo, the director of marketing for Audi in America, spoke about the entire venture and how fruitful its partnership with marvel has been. “After eight years of successful partnerships with Marvel, Audi aligns with the evolving narrative of the Tony Stark character to showcase the all-new, redesigned 2016 R8. Having been part of the character’s storyline for the past three Iron Man films, it is a perfect fit for Audi to return in Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron with Tony Stark driving the iconic supercar in its next generation.”
The Volkswagen Group-owned car maker continued its collaboration with Marvel by releasing a fresh footage from the film on YouTube. Not only this, Audi has a website dedicated to the film that shows trailers, biographies or Heros and comic strips featuring cars from the firm. Lastly, the movie website is linked to pages that offer more information about these cars to fans.
According to a report by Autonews, Audi has been closely associated with legendary comic creator Stan Lee, who has co-created Spider Man, Iron Man and the X-Men among others, regarding a short video for the company’s YouTube channel.
