Dealers have already been asked to start taking bookings for the car but an official statement for the company is yet to be announced. When contacted, a Tata Motors spokesperson said: "Booking has not started yet... When to start the booking is still being decided,” while a new advertisement in a national daily has announced that the company has once again started taking bookings for the car.

The new Tata Nano ad published in the print media claims the car to be safe. “We've built a car in which safety is part of standard equipment,” says the statement in the ad.
