Rumour has it that Mercedes is planning to introduce a new C-class model next year. The spy shots of the model are already available on the internet. The current model has been in the market since 2007 and is now due for a facelift. However, Mercedes designers have worked only on cosmetic changes so far choosing to focus on only minor changes such as new bumper and wheel designs, and a slight revision of the tail-lamps, and the new shape and LED accents for the indicators as can be seen in these spy shots.
There are not much details about the changes in the interiors but it is speculated that they are likely to include modifications intended to improve the efficiency of the C-Class and boost the automaker's fleet wide fuel economy and emissions averages.
The new Merceded C Class, shown in the image, is expected to be out on Indian roads by late 2011. Although interiors have been upgraded, the engine remains unchanged. The gearbox will have a seven speed transmission instead of the usual 5 speed.
