The Indian automotive market has been considered as one of the most competitive one around the globe. With the presence of many global the local car-makers in the country, the competition has just closer to cut-throat levels. In a bid to stay afloat in the competition, Maruti Suzuki has been working on launching the new Swift Dzire loaded with fresh cosmetic upgrades. Online sources have also managed to captures some spy shots of the new upcoming vehicle.
Believing reports, the new Swift Dzire may be based on the 2016 Swift hatchback platform. The vehicle shall retain its sub-four meter sedan size but shall be loaded with fresh cosmetic upgrades. Petrol and diesel variants shall be continued in the new Swift Dzire as well. The diesel variant shall be continued to be powered by 1.3 Liter Multijet engine with 5 speed manual transmission and the petrol version is shall also carry the existing configuration of 1.2-liter K-Series engine. It is likely that the petrol version maybe available in four speed automatic and five speed manual transmission.
Maruti Suzuki has not spoken any detail on the pricing aspect for now. But it is believed that the face-lifted sedan shall be priced around Rs. 5 – 8 lakhs segment. As part of new developments the new Swift Dzire may feature fog lamps that compliment the tinted headlamps. The front and rear bumpers have redesigned for a fresher appeal. Inside the cabin you may see, AUX and iPod compatible device. The music system is Bluetooth enabled and vehicle can be started with just a push of a button. The Power mirrors shall feature in higher end models. Post launch the new Swift Dzire may emerge as a strong competitor against cars like Hyundai Xcent, Honda Amaze and Tata Zest.
