Tata Nano Europa is the European variant of the Tata Nano. The model was first displayed in 2009 in Geneva Motor Show. Stated as the cheapest of luxury cars, the Nano Europa is fully loaded with major comfort and safety features like ABS, air bags, powerful engine and power steering with higher structural strengths, as well as modifications in its interior and a bigger wheelbase. "It will have several additional features like a more powerful engine, power steering, airbags, ABS as well as higher structural strengths," said PM Telang, the MD of Tata Motors’ Indian operation.
Apart from that the car will come with five-speed automatic transmission with sporty all-aluminum MPFI engine. The petrol version of this variant will be highly fuel competent and it will produce very limited CO2 emission.
Tata Nano Europa will make its first debut in European market and soon after that the organization plans to launch it in India, PM Telang told TOI, “"Yes, there is a chance of Tata Motors launching the Nano Europa in the Indian market as well," It is expected that the launch of this new variant in India will take place in 2012.
