      MSIL Flying High with Its New Cars

      Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) strives to cater to the desires of the Indian automobile customers successively. MSIL has come up with two of its latest models in the luxury as well as the mid size level car segments in the past six months. Besides, the Wagon R K Series and the Alto K 10 was also launched in the year 2010. MSIL has been striving hard to overcome the numerous obstacles, which have been constantly coming its way; it has come up with great models in the recent past.

      Maruti, which has developed its image in the past years as a trustworthy automobile manufacturer, has also made special efforts to deliver the rich customers of India. Moreover, the joint venture of Maruti Suzuki has brought great success to the company. This trend of global success has encouraged MSIL to launch new world class models.

      MSIL is also planning the relaunch one of its oldest models Maruti 800. The New Maruti 800 has been seen as a vehicle specially designed for Indian roads. MSIL had discontinued the manufacturing of this model when the Bharat Stage IV emission norms came into effect. Now, the company is planning to launch this model again, which is going to compete with other small cars such as the Tata Nano. As speculated by auto experts and automobiles enthusiasts all over India, this model would definitely be a 'game changer' in the mini car segment of the MSIL. There are speculations that this car model would be priced lesser than the Alto model.

      The New Maruti Swift which is going to be launched in August 2011 is seen as the best example of car upgradation as it has been added with many new features. A similar model of Swift has already been launched in the UK. It has been positioned 29th among 35 in the UK Driver Power survey in the year 2010.  Furthermore, the Maruti Suzuki Kisashi which was launched in February 2011 comes under the luxury cars category. This model has an expensive price tagged to it. Priced between Rs. 16.5 to 17.50 lacs, for its two variants, this car has an extremely powerful 2.4 petrol engine of the J-series.

      The SX4 Diesel was launched in February 2011 and since then it has developed a reputation of being a powerful car. Its multi-jet diesel, providing a maximum power of 90 bhp at 4000 rpm, is the main reason behind it. The New SX4 diesel falls under a different variant as compared to its previous model SX4 Petrol, launched in the year 2007. The top ZDI model of the SX4 Diesel features the dashboard integrated music system with an USB port. This feature was widely appreciated by all the users across India.

      The various market surveys done in India point out that the mileage is the most important concern of the Indian automobile consumer. MSIL has made sure that this aspect is taken into consideration while designing cars for Indians. All the recent launches do point out that the company has adjusted well with the various expectations of the Indian customers.
