Pioneer Electronics has always come up with novel audio technologies and its latest offering is MIXTRAX, an exclusive technology which mixes the entire collection of songs. The MIXTRAX technology acts as a virtual DJ in the car and creates an ambience similar to that of a discotheque. Seeing that the majority of Indian population is young; Pioneer Electronics has decided to meet their demands by coming up with this latest technology in the country.
“Music has a unique ability to affect our moods, our feelings, and even our energy levels. With MIXTRAX, the listener hears the same kind of high-energy, non-stop mix they’d hear in a club or at a party, but now created seamlessly from their own music collection,” says Andy Parsons, senior Vice-President at Pioneer Electronics (U.S.A.) Inc.
This technology offers a complete audio system package that includes iPod and iPhone connectivity, thus stepping up the sound quality of the songs and playing them non-stop. MIXTRAX comes with free software that helps in managing the entire music collection. It does the analysis by identifying the beats per minute (bpm) and understanding the different attributes of the song.
Various playlists are created and the songs are arranged categorically under Beat, Chill and Thump, which are the different styles available in MIXTRAX. It skilfully understands the high point of a song and flawlessly mixes them in an extraordinary manner.
Types of mix style include Active, Standard and Simple that influences the overall outcome of a song and its duration in the playlist. MIXTRAX EZ is the simpler edition of this technology that will be available in many Pioneer products. There are six types of sound effects and three types of transitions.
USB or SD card can be used to transfer the created playlists, which can be played via the Pioneer audio system. To enhance the discotheque atmosphere in the car, the buttons and the display of the CD player change colours regularly. There are six different colours available to ensure club-like effect and maximum entertainment while riding.
By downloading the software from the Pioneer Facebook page, one can get access to the MIXTRAX technology on a desktop or laptop also. As a matter of fact, this software will be available in India from mid-December.

MIXTRAX is our solution for this segment of our patrons, attending to their finer needs and ways of music experience. We would be introducing the Indian models featuring the MIXTRAX technology at Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi.”
MIXTRAX technology, which is the first of its kind in the market, will be showcased in New Delhi at the 11th Auto Expo in January, 2012.
