German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz finally unveiled the 2015 Mercedes-Benz V Class via social media. Set to replace its ageing Vito and Viano models, the company decided to give the ‘concept stage’ method a miss and instead revealed the new MPV range online, ahead of its official premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in March. This modish MPV will be offered with varying exterior dimensions i.e. with an option to choose from two wheelbases and three lengths; ranging from 4,895mm to 5,370mm. It will also be presented with two different seating combinations: a 2+2+2 or a 2+3+3 combination. Furthermore, the V Class will also offer the facility to opt for of two rear sliding doors along with the conventional single kerb-side rear sliding door.

Moving on to the cabin, the new dash design seems to be inspired by the interior fashioning of the new C and S Class models, that also includes wood and aluminium highlights throughout. Mercedes-Benz has has also included a handful of extremely reliable safety features to assist drivers. The package offers numerous safety technologies, such as advanced blind-spot assist, Crosswind Assist, Attention Assist (fatigue detection system), collision prevention system along with 6 airbags.

In terms of engine options, the V Class will come loaded with two different engine options: a 2.1-litre four-cylinder diesel mill and a 2.1-litre BlueTec hybrid. While the diesel engine will deliver a power output of 161bhp and torque of 380Nm, the petrol mill promises to churn out a maximum power of 188bhp and 440Nm of peak torque. And it is said that Mercedes-Benz also intends to bring the V Class to India.
