      Mercedes-Benz S500 Coupe, S63 AMG Coupe and G 63 AMG launched in India

      Mercedes-Benz India, today, launched the S500 Coupe, S63 AMG Coupe at Rs. 2 crore and Rs. 2.60 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. Besides this, the company also introduced the G 63 AMG 'Crazy Color' Edition in three exterior paint options - Solar Beam, Alien Green and Sunset Beam - at Rs. 2.17 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Coupe twins will be imported to India via CBU (complete built-up unit) route.

      The S500 Coupe is powered by a 4.7-litre V8 twin-turbo engine that puts out a maximum power of 455bhp and 700Nm of torque. It’s the same locally assembled powertrain that does duty to the S500 sedan. Called to be the replacement of the CL63 AMG, the S63 AMG is propelled by a 5.5-litre V8 Bi-Turbo engine that is mated to a 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT transmission. It churns out a maximum power of 585bhp and a perk torque of 900Nm.

      The S63 AMG with the RWD (rear wheel drive) system accelerates 0-100kmph in 4.2 seconds, while the 4MATIC all-wheel drive variant takes 3.9 seconds. It offers a maximum speed of 250kmph. The Coupe siblings share several features and styling elements. Though, it’s the AMG body kit that distinguishes both the vehicles. The S63 AMG gets AMG badge, aggressive bumpers, large multi-spoke alloy wheels, a quad-exhaust and carbon-fibre interior trim. It will be 65kgs lighter than the CL63 AMG. The S500 Coupe features LED high performance headlamps with 94 Swarovski crystals, flare-shaped daytime running lamps with 34 angluar crystals, turn indicator lamps with 60 round crystals and designo leather upholstery and designo trim elements.
